03 REVIEW ITEMS

These are educational review prompts, not instructions to buy or sell. The starting example is fictional.

PUBLIC DATA, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

One public update to put your goal in context

We link the original release and separate the fact from what it might mean for planning.

INFLATION DATAReviewed 2 October 2026

August 2026 consumer-price data is available

What happened

MoSPI reported 4.82% year-on-year all-India CPI inflation for August 2026 (provisional), using the 2024 base year.

Why it could matter

Your chosen inflation assumption changes the future cost shown for a goal. One national monthly reading is not a forecast and may differ from the prices that matter to your goal.

What to check next

Read the official release, check the category relevant to your goal, and revisit your own assumption after the next CPI release. This card does not change it for you.

Next source review due 12 October 2026.

Public-data context only. It is not a forecast, fund assessment, or instruction to buy or sell. Source and interpretation should be checked again when new data is published.

MAKE IT YOURS

Holdings in this review

Add a simple entry or import a CSV to see how the picture changes. Tick holdings for the selected goal; assigning one to a different goal moves it there. Entries stay in this tab unless you download a private review file or use an account save.

These holdings are fictional. Start blank, then add yours and check the goal details.

START WITH ONE SOURCE

How would you like to add holdings?

Choose what you have. You can add another source after the first import. Switching clears selected files and passwords.

Where do I get a report?
  1. Mutual funds, quick start: Request a CAMS Active Statement ↗ using the email registered with your folios. Save its encrypted PDF from your email, then choose “CAMS Active PDF or HTML” above. The browser preview uses individual schemes only when they reconcile to the fund-house totals; otherwise it shows those totals.
  2. Mutual funds across RTAs: CAMS offers a CAMS+KFintech CAS ↗ with summary or detailed options. Original CAS PDF preview appears here only when a private or local preview service is enabled; the public demo cannot read that PDF.
  3. Stocks: Get a holdings report with a current market value from your broker. For example, Zerodha explains its XLSX download ↗. Choose “Broker XLSX or CSV” and confirm the report date and columns.

Check for holdings missing from a source before adding another. Do not send a statement or its password to us by email.

HOLDINGDATED VALUE OR ESTIMATE
ADD A HOLDING

Start with what you know

For a fund, check its scheme category or objective. Choose “Other / not sure” if you cannot tell yet; the review will flag it for a later check. Direct stocks count as Equity.

If you leave the date blank, the review will remind you to check the value later.

Add an ISIN from my statement (optional)

Use the ISIN shown on your statement to group matching entries. This site checks its format, not the instrument registry.

Adding your first holding removes the fictional example. New holdings count toward the selected goal. Untick them below to change that. Fund constituents remain unknown until verified data is available.

AGE IS ONLY ONE INPUT

Put the portfolio in context.

Your goal date and ability to handle losses matter as much as the amount. Age is shown at the goal date, but it is not used to calculate an allocation or advice.

A real personal action plan would also need your income, liabilities, emergency reserve, risk capacity, tax position and an appropriate adviser process.
ILLUSTRATIVE GOAL SCENARIO
Goal cost at the goal date₹20,00,000
Assigned holdings at the goal date₹11,20,000
Gap under these assumptions₹8,80,000
Extra monthly above your plan₹24,445

Uses 0% annual growth, 0% inflation and your planned ₹0 in month-end contributions for 3 years. The total mathematical monthly amount would be ₹24,445; the number above is only the extra beyond your plan. This is arithmetic, not a return forecast or an investment recommendation. Entered valuations may be dated; taxes, fees and market losses may differ.

WHAT IF EQUITY FELL TODAY?
Chosen equity loss20%
Amount lost from linked equity₹1,78,000
Assigned value after that loss₹9,42,000
Gap to today's goal cost after loss₹10,58,000

This subtracts 20% once from only the holdings marked Equity and linked to this goal. It uses today's entered values and goal cost; it excludes future growth, contributions, inflation, taxes and changes in other assets. It is a what-if loss, not a prediction or a target allocation.

Add your own optional loss limits below to put this illustration in context.

Compare with what I could handle

For this goal, enter either amount or both. What temporary fall could you cover from other resources without delaying the goal or essential spending? What fall could you tolerate without feeling forced to sell? These are your own estimates, not a formal risk profile.

Compare the amounts with the illustrative loss above. A smaller illustrated loss does not prove an allocation is suitable; real losses and other obligations may differ.

Compare with a mix I chose

Enter your own percentages for this goal. They must total 100%. This compares asset categories in linked holdings; it does not suggest an allocation or a trade.

Current shares use entered values and asset labels. Mixed or unclassified holdings stay in Other until you verify their category. Differences are percentage points, not amounts to buy or sell.

Monthly amount and what-if assumptions

The starting comparison uses ₹0 monthly, 0% growth and inflation, and a one-time 20% equity fall. Change these numbers to explore a scenario; they are not forecasts.

Your answer adds context; it does not assess whether a reserve is enough.

PRIVATE FILE BACKUP

Keep your work for another day

Download a readable summary for your own records, or save a JSON backup that you can restore here later. Both files stay on your device. Keep them private because they contain your portfolio values.

You can save a restorable JSON as soon as you add your own holdings, even if goal details are unfinished. Confirm the goal currently selected above to download its readable summary.

TheFinxperts review JSON, up to 2 MB. The readable text summary cannot be restored. Restoring JSON replaces the current tab's holdings and goals.
